Real Estate Taxes

Site last updated:

6/01/10

Real estate taxes are to be paid in half or in full by January 31, 2010 at City Hall and the 2nd half by July 31, 2010 to the County Treasurer.  County Treasurer will NOT be sending reminders for taxes due July 31, 2010.

Personal property taxes are to be paid in full by January 31, 2010 at City Hall.  Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope to assure return of your tax receipt(s).

If a lottery credit does not appear on your tax bill for your primary residence, you may request an application form for the 2009 credit from City Hall before January 31, 2010.  A primary residence is where you live most of the time and you are entitled to only one credit.  If you currently receive the lottery credit, your certification automatically continues.  The law requires that you notify the county treasurer within 30 days after you no longer qualify for the credit either because you no longer own the property or you no longer use it as your primary residence.
