Mayor’s Report to Council: Recommend appointment of Randy Reilly to County Highway Safety Committee
Committee Reports:
- Public Works: Recommend approval of Agreement with Town of Wautoma to resurface S Townline Road from Main to Division
- Library: Changed policy for children using the Internet; circulation is up over last year in March; accepted the resignation of Yvonne Featherston from the Board; Dave Johnson agreed to serve on the fundraising committee; discussed modifications to the library plans
- Health & Sanitation: Discussed the storm water plans and the need to secure property from Alliant and Howard Dutcher; discussed the need for a public hearing to explain the special assessments that will be charged to the property owners
- Tree Board: Members fertilized and mulched trees; discussed black knot disease; thanked Tom Miick for his past contribution to the Tree Board
- Public Safety: Authorized writing a letter to DOT re: not using the barricades for the pedestrian crossing area
- Finance Committee: Approval of bills; recommended approval of painting proposal, replace carpet proposal, and replace window proposal for city hall; recommend hiring an additional full-time police officer; recommend discontinuing the part time police officer positions; listened to a health insurance proposal from Lisa Larson and Jeff Des Jardins
